Orientation Week at EMA: Student Life in Paris
A Warm Welcome to EMA
Starting a new academic journey in a new country is exciting, but it also comes with practical questions and new experiences. At EMA Business School, our recent Orientation Week was designed to help students settle into their new environment, understand the practical steps of starting life in France, and begin building connections with their new classmates.
Practical Support for a Smooth Start
One of the key parts of the week focused on helping students with important administrative procedures. The EMA team supported students as they navigated the steps required to begin their life in France, including assistance with opening a bank account. This practical support helped students approach their first days in Paris with greater confidence and a clearer understanding of what they needed to do.
Building Connections Through Networking
Orientation Week was also about creating a welcoming student community. A Bingo networking activity gave students a fun and relaxed way to meet one another, start conversations and discover more about their classmates. With students coming from different backgrounds, the activity created an opportunity to connect, share experiences and begin forming new friendships.
A Joint Event with Schiller International University
As part of Orientation Week, EMA Business School also joined forces with Schiller International University for a joint event, bringing students together for a day of activities, interaction and discovery. The event provided another opportunity for students to meet new people, build connections and experience the international community that makes student life in Paris so enriching.
Discovering Paris from the Seine
The week came to a memorable close with a Bateaux Mouches cruise along the Seine. Students were able to discover the beauty of Paris from the water and enjoy a different perspective of the city they will call home during their studies. The beautiful weather and a lovely sunset made the experience even more enjoyable, creating a memorable moment for students to share together.
More Than an Orientation
Orientation Week at EMA is more than an introduction to the school. It is about helping students take their first steps into a new environment with practical support, meaningful connections, and experiences that allow them to discover Paris. From administrative guidance and networking to experiencing the city together, the week offered students a positive start to their EMA journey.
