Programme Overview

EMA's Sustainable Academy is designed to offer a rigorous and accessible summer learning environment for learners at different stages of their journey, within an academic setting with a global outlook.

Explore a rotating set of seminars across global business fundamentals and sustainability-led decision-making; from finance and strategy to ESG, ethics, sustainability, and cross-border law.

One topic per two-week seminar, designed for focused learning and academic momentum.

A flexible timetable offers modular options throughout the summer: Discovery (2 weeks, 1 seminar), Intensive (4 weeks, 2 seminars), and the Bridge Term (12 weeks). Depending on the programme, options may include language classes (French or English). Each format has stated learning objectives and a structured approach.

Based in Paris, the Academy can be a first step into a higher-education environment, a way to maintain academic continuity between milestones, a structured refresher in key areas, or a bridging programme before you take your next academic step.

All information relating to the programmes is available on the website.

What is the Sustainable Academy?

The Sustainable Academy is EMA’s collection of summer programmes. It is built around short, intensive formats combining academic seminars (taught in English) and, for some options, morning language classes.

It depends on your timeline and goal. Discovery is a 2-week introduction (one seminar). Intensive is 4 weeks (two seminars). Bridge Term is a 12-week summer term with a full-term rhythm. August Launch is a 4-week August option for EMA-enrolled students who need additional French before October.

If you are looking for a format shorter than the 12-week Bridge Term, you can choose Discovery (2 weeks, one seminar), Intensive (4 weeks, two seminars), or August Launch (4 weeks, August intake).

Yes. The seminars are delivered in English. If you choose a language option, the morning language classes are delivered in French or English depending on the programme you select.

Bridge Term includes a final exam. You will also be assessed throughout the term in line with the programme’s learning activities. Full assessment details are provided in the programme information.

For all programmes, you will receive an EMA Certificate of completion. You receive a certificate of completion or level from the language partner (CCFS for French and EP for English) depending on the length of your programme. You will receive a UNITAR Certificate if you enroll and complete the Bridge Term.

Classes are delivered across partner campus (CCFS in the 17th arrondissement) and EMA campus (14th arrondissement). The trip between the two is a short metro ride.
