Is Bridge Term a full-term commitment?
Yes. Bridge Term spans 12 weeks. It is designed as a full summer term, with language classes in the morning and EMA seminars in the afternoon.
Which programmes are shorter than a term?
If you are looking for a format shorter than the 12-week Bridge Term, you can choose Discovery (2 weeks, one seminar), Intensive (4 weeks, two seminars), or August Launch (4 weeks, August intake).
Bridge Term includes a final exam. You will also be assessed throughout the term in line with the programme’s learning activities. Full assessment details are provided in the programme information. Other programmes are assessed on an ongoing basis, throughout the sessions.
What certificates do I receive?
For all programmes, you will receive an EMA Certificate of completion. You receive a certificate of completion or level from the language partner (CCFS for French) depending on the length of your programme. You will receive a UNITAR Certificate if you enrol and complete the Bridge Term.
Classes are delivered across partner campus (CCFS in the 17th arrondissement) and EMA campus (14th arrondissement). The trip between the two is a short metro ride.
Visa requirements depend on your nationality and individual situation, so please check the rules that apply to you and speak with our admissions team if you need help understanding the enrolment pathway. Our summer programmes do not run for more than 12 weeks and for a lot of countries, they can be completed within a tourist visa length.
Can you help me choose French vs English option?
If you plan to spend time in France soon (working or studying or else), we strongly recommend that you choose the French option to develop your French language skills. Even if you are studying or working full time in English, French is still the main language used across France. If you are coming only for the summer and need to upgrade your English level for future projects, please join our English classes.
