Admissions

Whether you are applying from France or from abroad, the admissions process begins in the same place: you choose your programme, submit your application, and our team reviews your profile. Depending on your situation, some additional steps may apply, particularly if you need a visa to study in France.

Step 1 — Choose your programme

Start by exploring the EMA programme that matches your academic background, language level and professional goals.

Before applying, make sure you review the relevant programme page carefully. Some programmes may have specific academic, language or admissions requirements.

Get in touch with us to start your application process!

Our team can help you navigate programmes and offer you support in English or in French.

Complete the application form and send the documents requested for your programme.

Depending on the programme and your profile, you may be asked to provide documents such as:

  • proof of identity
  • academic transcripts or diplomas
  • a CV or résumé
  • proof of language level where relevant
  • any additional programme-specific documents

Your application should be complete and accurate so that our team can review it efficiently.

This step allows you to introduce yourself, explain your goals and share your motivation for joining EMA in a more interactive and personal format. We see it as a modern alternative to a traditional statement of purpose: a chance for you to present your profile, your ambition and your fit for the programme in a more dynamic way.

The motivation interview helps our admissions team better understand your background, your objectives and the overall coherence of your application.

Once your application and motivation interview have been completed, the admissions team reviews your profile.

Admission decisions are based on the overall quality, relevance and completeness of the application, as well as the fit between the candidate and the programme.

If your application is successful, EMA will send you the information you need to move forward with enrolment. This may include acceptance documents, deadlines and any remaining administrative steps.

To finalise your enrolment, you will need to complete the required registration steps within the timeframe indicated by EMA.

This may include accepting your offer, submitting final documents and completing the financial and administrative formalities linked to your enrolment.

Which admissions route applies to you?

Applicants who do not need a visa

If you do not need a visa to study in France, you can usually follow the standard admissions and enrolment process.

Once admitted, you will simply need to complete the required registration steps by the deadlines communicated by EMA.

Applicants who need a visa

If you require a visa to study in France, we recommend starting your process as early as possible.

Visa timelines can vary, so it is important to allow sufficient time after receiving your admission. EMA will provide the necessary documents to support your application; however, visa procedures and decisions are managed by the French authorities.

We encourage you to review the Visa guidance page before applying and throughout your preparation.

Important note

Submitting an application does not automatically confirm admission or enrolment.

All applications are reviewed individually. Admission decisions are based on the overall quality, relevance and completeness of the application, as well as the fit between the candidate and the programme.

For international applicants, admission does not replace or guarantee any visa or immigration decision.
